The Long Beach Redevelopment Agency (RDA) is dissolved as of February 1, 2012 pursuant to State legislation AB 1X 26. This website remains intact for historical reference purposes and will be used by the City of Long Beach as Successor Agency (to the Long Beach Redevelopment Agency of the City of Long Beach) to provide information related to the dissolution and winding down of the RDA. This website will be updated to provide additional information.

The Department of Development Services has released a "Benefits of Redevelopment in Long Beach" brochure. This brochure highlights the benefits of redevelopment as an essential tool for improving our City, and depicts what is at risk to Long Beach, such as the potential loss of $89.5 million in funds to be used towards planned public improvement projects over the next three years.
